Privacy & Account Handling

Last updated August 2026

The Short Version

YAEET uses EVE Online SSO so you can choose which characters to connect. YAEET never sees or stores your EVE password. It stores the access tokens EVE grants, encrypted at rest, so the server can refresh your character data and run planning tools.

Accounts

A YAEET account is a private group of linked EVE characters. The internal account ID is only a backend owner key for saved plans, goals, queues, preferences, and future sharing features. You do not need to know or manage that ID.

If you log in with a character that is already linked, YAEET signs you into that character's existing account. If you log in with a new character, YAEET may create a new account for that character. Merging two accounts is manual for now: email admin@yaeet.space.

EVE Data

YAEET reads only the ESI scopes shown during EVE SSO. Depending on the features you use, this can include character skills, skill queue, wallet balance, assets, blueprints, industry jobs, mining ledger, location, structure search, and corporation-related data granted by your character.

Some data is cached or saved so the app can work: linked characters, encrypted EVE tokens, saved build plans, saved production queues, goals, station profiles, production chain progress, mining/ratting activity entries, and ESI-derived snapshots used by those tools.

Security Choices

EVE access and refresh tokens are encrypted before being stored. Character ownership is checked using CCP's SSO owner claim so transferred characters do not silently become access to a previous owner's YAEET account.

A linked character acts as a login credential for the YAEET account it belongs to. If you transfer, sell, or share access to an EVE character, unlink it from YAEET first.
